Beam End Repairs and Bearing Replacement for Bridges 01415, 00278, 00279,00280, 00288, and 03434 in the Towns of Griswold, Norwich, and Sprague
The Connecticut, Department of Transportation  is announcing that beam end repair and bearing replacement work will begin on April 1, 2017, on the following structures:
  • Bridge No. 01415 on Route 169 over the Shetucket River in the Town of Norwich
  • Bridge No. 00278 on Scotland Road over I-395 in the Town of Norwich
  • Bridge No. 00279 on Lawler Lane over I-395 in the Town of Norwich
  • Bridge No. 00280 on Canterbury Turnpike over I-395 in the Town of Norwich
  • Bridge No. 00288 on Route 138 over I-395 in the Town of Griswold
  • Bridge No. 03434 on Route 97 over an abandoned canal in the Town of Sprague 
DOT Project No. 172-447 was awarded to New England Road, Inc. at a cost of $ 2,929,579.00 on January 24, 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in October 2018.

LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect temporary lane closures during the day between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and in the evening between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m, with the exception of major holidays.
