Bassett Road Closed Starting July 10, 2017 in North Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the Department’s contractor will be closing Bassett Road at the I-91 overpass from July 10, 2017, until November 28, 2017, to demolish the existing bridge and to construct a new bridge in the same location.
The project consists of a full demolition of the existing bridge and construction of a new bridge structure.  The new bridge structure will utilize the open space in the Interstate median to construct new abutments. The purpose of the project is to replace the original structure which was deficient and at the end of its useful lifespan.
CTDOT Project No. 0100-0178 was awarded to MIG Corporation of Acton, MA, on November 20, 2016, at a cost of $6,157,067.00 and is scheduled to be completed by November 28, 2017
