Utility Project on Whitehead Highway in Hartford, Detour Required

     

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a utility project on Whitehead Highway in Hartford on Saturday, July 12, 2014 between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

      The utility project consists of placing a crane in the eastbound lane to remove a manlift from private property adjacent to the Whitehead Highway.

      This project is being performed by William Parsons Masonry & Restoration under an Encroachment Permit.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures between Hudson Street and Prospect Street.  The work will require a detour to be implemented while work is being performed.  Motorists will use the following routes during the detour:  Hudson Street to Elm Street to Prospect Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
