The road closure is required to complete the final stage of the bridge replacement work.  Road reconstruction work remains in progress for replacement of the railroad bridge over Fairfield Avenue.

DETOUR INFO- Route 130 will be closed on Saturday January 25, 2014, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Signs will be in place to direct traffic around the closure.  Detour routes are:

-  Cars will use Pine Street, Bostwick Avenue and State Street.

-  Truck traffic will use Pine Street, Wordin Avenue and State Street.

A temporary sidewalk will be in place for pedestrian access.

The work is part of a project to overhaul the overhead Catenary wire system and replace five bridges on the New Haven Rail Line between Bridgeport and Fairfield.  The contract was awarded to Ducci Electrical Contractors of Torrington, CT, in April 2007 and the revised schedule has the project completing in August 2014.
