Safety Improvement Project along Route 5 and Route 372

 

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a guiderail safety improvement project will be performed on Route 5, (Broad Street) Northbound and Southbound in Meriden and Route 372 in Berlin, December 8-22, 2014.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 5 (Broad Street) in Meriden Northbound & Southbound as follows:  Between Route 15 and Golden Street and between Gypsy Lane and South Broad Terrace West.  On Route 372 in Berlin lane closure will occur between Savage Hill Road and Pepin Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (weekdays).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
