Safety Improvement Project along Route 14A in Plainfield

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed along Route 14A in Plainfield, November 19 through December 3, 2014.

      The project consists of installing guide rail along a 2.88 mile segment of the roadway. No work will be performed on Wednesday, November 26, and Friday, November 28, 2014, due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 14A, from Route 14 to Route 12 in Plainfield.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (weekdays). 

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
