Road Construction and Maintenance Activities Restricted For Thanksgiving Holiday

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that there will be no maintenance or construction activities on major highways for the Thanksgiving Holiday from 3 PM Tuesday, November 25 to 8 PM Monday, December 1, 2014.  Only work of an emergency nature will be considered.

      The Department is extending the holiday restriction to include Tuesday evening beginning at 3 PM.  The roadwork restriction is for all projects administered by the Department.  It is expected that traffic volumes will be significantly higher than normal Tuesday night due to weather forecast for Wednesday.
