Resurfacing Project on Route 302 in Bethel and Newtown

     

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project on an 8-mile section of Route 302 in Bethel and Newtown will continue through September 3, 2014.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 302 between Rt. 53 and Rt. 25.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Work will also be done between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
