Resurfacing Merritt Parkway (Route 15) Southbound Exit 47 Off-Ramp in Trumbull

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a resurfacing project will occur on Route 15 Southbound, Exit 47 Off-Ramp (Park Avenue) in Trumbull on Sunday, November 9, 2014 and will require the ramp to be closed with a detour.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect a ramp closure on Route 15 Southbound, Exit 47 off ramp (Park Avenue) and will require a detour to be implemented while work is being performed.

      Motorists will use the following routes during the detour:  Southbound Route 15 traffic that would normally exit at Exit 47 will be detoured to Exit 46, right at end of ramp onto Congress Street, right onto Route 59 (Easton Turnpike), left onto Jefferson Street to Park Avenue. 

      Park Avenue traffic (both directions) will be detoured to Park Avenue westbound to Route 59 (Easton Turnpike), left onto Congress Street, left onto ramp to Route 15 Southbound. 


      Traffic control personnel, State Police and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour. The work hours for this project are 7 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

      Variable message signs are currently in place and the above detour will be properly signed during the duration of work.

      Rain date is scheduled for Sunday November 16, 2014.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
