Replacement of Highway Signs on I-395
Existing overhead and side mounted highway signs will be replaced and relocated on I-395 from Mile Point 29.92 in the vicinity of Exit 88 in Plainfield to the Connecticut/Massachusetts state line and on S.R. 695 from I-395 to the Connecticut/Rhode Island state line. Exit Ramps will be renumbered to correspond to the mileage posts.
Replacement of the highway signing will consist of removing existing overhead, side mounted and post mounted signs and installing new overhead, side mounted and post mounted signs on existing sign supports and new sign supports. Ramp signing will also be included for removal and replacement.  Work will begin on May 1, 2014.

DOT Project No. 0172-0388 was awarded to AM Rizzo Electrical Contractors, Inc. at a cost of $2,319,733 on December 6, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed on November 22, 2015.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Northbound – reduced to single lane at any time.

Southbound - reduced to single lane at any time, except on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

There will be no detours necessary on this project.
