Replacement of Bridge No. 01109, Route 72 over Marsh Brook in the Town of Plymouth
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Route 72 over Marsh Brook in Plymouth will be closed on November 3, 2014 for work related to the Replacement of Bridge No. 01109.  
The project consists of removal of the existing bridge and replacing it with a twin precast concrete box culvert.  The proposed roadway will consist of one 12 foot lane and one 2 foot shoulder and sidewalks in each direction.  The project is located at the intersection of Route 72 (North Riverside Avenue) and Sandra Avenue. 

DETOUR INFO- Route 72 closed November 3, 2014. There will be a detour during the hours of 9 AM to 3 PM to set the precast concrete box culvert.  Traffic will utilize Route 6 and North Main Street to access the opposite sides of the bridge on Route 72.

DOT Project No. 0110-0127, was awarded to NJR Construction LLC of Terryville, CT on August 22, 2014 at a cost of $1,049,550.00 and is being administered by the Office of Construction District 4, Thomaston.  The project is scheduled for completion in June of 2015.
