Rehabilitation of Route 111 Bridge over Beardsley Brook in Monroe

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction and rehabilitation of the bridge over Beardsley Brook on Route 111 in Monroe beginning the week of May 3, 2014. The work will be done primarily at night.

      The project includes the removal of the existing structure, installation and backfill of the precast concrete box culvert.

      This $759,014.00 contract was awarded to Guerrera Construction Co, Inc. of Oxford, CT on March 19, 2014.  Contract completion date is scheduled for October 9, 2014. This is Bridge No. 02629.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Allowable lane closures may be in place for Route 111 Monday through Friday between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 PM through 10:00 AM.

      For surrounding roadways Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Allowable lane closures on Saturday and Sunday are from 6:00 PM through 10:00 AM.
