Rehabilitation of Bridge No. 02501 and 02502 on Route 82 over Succor Brook in the Town of East Haddam
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the recommencing of the replacement of Bridge No. 02501 and 02502 on Route 82 over the Succor Brook in East Haddam beginning April 4, 2014. 
The project consists of the complete removal and replacement of the existing structures. In addition, sidewalks will be lengthened, guide rail replaced, new retaining walls installed, and the stream will be lined for scour protection.
DOT Project No. 0040-0130 and 0040-0135 was awarded to E. T. & L. Corporation, 873 Great Road, Stowe, MA 01775 at a cost of $4,593,141.00 on June 20, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed on or about November 15, 2014.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

A detour of vehicular traffic along Norwich Road (Route 82) will be utilized beginning April 15, 2014, and will remain in effect until October 31, 2014. Ray Hill Road will be restricted to local traffic only with access to dead ends on Rte. 82. The detour route will begin south of New Street on Route 82 and proceed east on Route 82 to Route 151. The detour will then continue north on Route 151 turning south on Route 149 ending at Route 82.

Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and proceed with caution through this and other construction work zones.
