Rehabilitation of Bridge Carrying Interstate 691 over Lewis Avenue in the City of Meriden
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work will begin Monday, March 24, 2014, on Bridge No. 02069 that carries Interstate 691 over Lewis Avenue in the town of Meriden.
The project consists of bearing replacement, painting of beam ends, work on the underside of the deck and at the bridge abutments as well as replacement of the expansion joints. 
DOT Project No. 0079-0230 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. at a cost of $1,259,376.50 on October 22, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed October 7, 2014.
