Rehabilitation of Bridge #00548 over I-84, US Route 7 and Beaver Brook
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the rehabilitation of bridge #00548 (US Route 7 southbound) over I-84 westbound, US Route 7 northbound and Beaver Brook will be begin in September 2014.
The project consists of substructure repairs, abrasive blast cleaning and painting of steel beams, replacement of bearings, and deck resurfacing along with minor safety improvements.
DOT Project No. 0034-0334 was awarded to Olympus Painting Contractors, Inc. at a cost of $3,302,282.50 on July 14, 2014, and is scheduled to be completed May 2, 2016.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Day time shoulder closures from 9am to 3pm and night lane closures from 7pm to 6am.  Detours are allowed from 10pm to 6am via I-84 westbound to exit 6 and return on I-84 eastbound.
