Reconstruction of Christian Street from Towner Lane to Robinson Lane in Oxford;

Lane Closures Required

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work will begin March 11, 2014, on the reconstruction of Christian Street from Towner Lane to Robinson Lane in the town of Oxford.

      The project consists of the reconstruction of Christian Street from Towner Lane to Robinson Lane. Grade changes, widening, new drainage systems and safety improvements will be added.

      DOT Project No. 0107-0166 was awarded to Guerrera Construction Co. at a cost of $1,559,354.00 on November 22, 2013 and is scheduled to be completed by November 26, 2014.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      The Contractor will be allowed to restrict traffic to alternating one lane between the times of 7:00 am and 9:00 pm. Also, the Contractor will be allowed to halt traffic for up to 10 minutes between 9:00am and 4:00pm on all non-holiday days.

      Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
