Reconstruction and Widening of Prospect Hill Road in Windsor
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work will begin Monday April 7, 2014, on Prospect Hill Road between Alford Drive and Poquonock Avenue (Route 75) in the Town of Windsor.
The project consists of general roadway realignment and widening, drainage and sight line improvements on Prospect Hill Road between Alford Drive and Poquonock Avenue, new traffic signal on Poquonock Ave. (Route 75) at Prospect Hill Road and construction of a new round-about at the intersection of Prospect Hill Road and West Street.
DOT Project No. 0164-0233 was awarded to King Construction, Inc. on December 20, 2013, at a cost of $3,165,510.45 and is scheduled to be completed in July 2015.

Alternating one way traffic Monday – Friday 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. 
Detour will be implemented as needed in coordination with the town of Windsor. The date of detour will be provided two weeks in advance of road closure.
