Railroad Crossing Repairs on Route 12 in Plainfield
The railroad crossing repairs will require Route 12 (Putnam Road) in Plainfield to be closed for three consecutive days beginning on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, through Thursday, November 13, 2014. This work is being performed by Providence-Worcester Railroad.
Detour Information:
Northbound motorists will be detoured left onto School Street (Route 14, Plainfield), right on Canterbury Road (Route 14, Plainfield), right on North Canterbury Road (Route 169, Canterbury), and right on Wauregan Road (Route 205, Brooklyn), and back to Route 12.  Southbound motorists will be detoured right onto Wauregan Road (Route 205, Plainfield), left on North Canterbury Road (Route 169, Brooklyn), left on Lovell Lane (Route 14, Canterbury), left on Black Hill Road (Route 14, Plainfield), and back to Route 12.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour. The detour is scheduled to be in place from 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, through 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
