Pothole Patching on Route 8 from between Exits 14 and 42; Lane Closures Required

    

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a pothole patching operation on Route 8 Northbound and Southbound from Exit 14 to Exit 42, Saturday and Sunday, February 22 and 23.  Alternating lane closures will be required.

      The project consists of pothole patching on Route 8, Northbound and Southbound from Exit 14 to Exit 42, at the Shelton/Derby Town Line to the Litchfield/Torrington Town Line.  This project is scheduled to occur on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 Northbound and Southbound from Exit 14 to Exit 42.  Impact Attenuators and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is Saturday, February 22, 2014, from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
