Overnight Bridge Maintenance Ramp Closure, I-91 at Exit 30 Ramp to I-84 in Hartford

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance repair will be performed on I-91 southbound at Exit 30 ramp to I-84 eastbound in Hartford, overnight Sunday/Monday, September 14-15, 2014.

      The project consists of bridge joint repair to the I-91 S/B at Exit 30 ramp to I-84 E/B in Hartford on Bridge #1428D. This project is scheduled to occur the evening of Sunday, September 14, 2014 beginning from 9:00 p.m. through 2:00 a.m. on Monday morning, September 15, 2014.

RAMP CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect the I-91 S/B at Exit 30 off ramp to be closed to traffic and a detour will be utilized. The detour will be implemented using fixed message signs and portable detour signs to pre-warn motorists of the impending ramp closure and detour. The work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (Sunday Evening – Monday Morning).

      The detour will direct motorists south along I-91 to Exit 27, Airport Road. Motorists will then be guided along Airport Road and Brainard Road back to I-91 northbound where existing directional signs will guide motorists to I-84 East.
