Ongoing Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on Route 8 in Bridgeport;

Lane Closures Required

     

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will continue on Route 8 Northbound and Southbound in Bridgeport through the morning of Friday, February 14, 2014.

      The project consists of bridge maintenance to the Route 8 Northbound and Southbound Bridge under Chopsy Hill Road (SR 722). Scheduled hours are 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 to the morning of Friday, February 14, 2014. 

      The work is being done by Mohawk Northeast.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 Northbound and Southbound between Exit 4 (Lindley Street) & the interchange to Route 25 (Col. H. Mucci Hwy).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
