Nighttime Traffic-Counting Loop Installation on I-95 in Darien

     

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime traffic-counting loop installation project will be performed on Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound in Darien, July 14-18, 2014.

      The “piezo” loop installation project will be performed on Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound in the vicinity of the Hollow Tree Ridge Road underpass in Darien.  This project is scheduled to occur from 8:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 to the morning of Friday, July 18, 2014. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound between exit 9 (Seaside Ave) and exit 10 (Ledge Road).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
