Nighttime Ramp Closures Scheduled for I-84 Ramp over Meadow Street,

Exit 21, in Waterbury

         

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the I-84 East off ramp at Exit 21, Meadow Street, in Waterbury is scheduled to be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Wednesday, July 16 through Thursday, July 17, and Monday, July 21, through Thursday, July 24, 2014.

      The work consists of the removal of the existing bridge deck joints across the full width and replacement with new concrete and asphaltic plug joints.  The closures are required to complete replacement of bridge joints on the ramp structures.

      This location is one of thirteen bridges that are being completed as part of DOT Project No. 0174-0364 was awarded to Arborio Corporation at a cost of $2,283,130.00 on July 26, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed November 22, 2014.

DETOUR INFO -

      I-84 East off ramp to Meadow Street (Exit 21)- Vehicles will be will be directed to follow detour to Exit 22, South Main Street, then Grand Street, then Bank Street which will take them back to Meadow Street.
