Nighttime Milling and Thin Surface Treatment on I-91 in Wethersfield and Hartford

     

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-91 in Wethersfield and Hartford beginning Sunday, May 4, 2014.

      The project consists of milling and thin surface treatment of a 7.10 mile segment of I-91 northbound and southbound in Wethersfield and Hartford. The milling segment of this project is scheduled to be performed Sunday, May 4, 2014 to Friday, May 9, 2014.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed Sunday, May 11, 2014 to Tuesday, May 20, 2014.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-91 NB between Exits 25 & 26 to the NB beginning of the overpass to Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Highway) in Wethersfield and Hartford and I-91 SB between the SB exit to SR 530 (Airport Road) to the Wethersfield town line in Hartford. Traffic control personnel, signing patterns, and crash attenuator vehicles will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday - Thursday).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
