Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 12 in Norwich
The project consists of nighttime milling and resurfacing a 2.77 mile segment of Route 12 in Norwich.  The milling is scheduled to occur Sunday, September 7, 2014, to Monday, September 15, 2014.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, to Monday, September 29, 2014. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday–Friday).
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 12 between Route 97 to Route 2 (Burnham Square) in Norwich.  Police, certified traffic controllers and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday–Friday).  
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
