Nighttime Crane Service on I-95 Southbound Exit 3 Off-Ramp in Greenwich

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the I-95 SB, Exit 3 off-ramp in Greenwich will be closed and require a detour from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, April 11-12, 2014.

Quick Pick Crane Services will be using the ramp for a nighttime staging area in order to place roof top air conditioning units on Greenwich Plaza, 107 Arch Street in Greenwich.  This project is scheduled to occur from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Friday April 11, 2014 to the morning of Saturday April 12, 2014. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

On Friday evening April 11, 2014 to Saturday morning April 12, 2014, motorists can expect a ramp closure on I-95 SB, Exit 3 off-ramp and will require a detour to be implemented while work is being performed.  Motorists will use the following routes during the detour: I-95 SB Exit 5 to Route 1 WB to Arch Street to I-95.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour. The work hours for this project are 10 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Variable message signs will be in place on I-95 SB just prior to Exit 5 indicating the closure and a detour for motorist who would normally be accessing Exit 3. Warning Lights Services will be handling traffic control along with the CT State Police on both the detour and ramp closure.

Rain date is scheduled for Friday evening April 25, 2014 to Saturday morning April 26, 2014.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
