Nighttime Closures Scheduled for Exit Ramp from Route 8 Southbound to I-84 East (Exit 31) in Waterbury
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the Route 8 southbound off ramp (Exit 31) to I-84 East in Waterbury is scheduled to be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday August 14,  Monday August 18 through Thursday August 21, and Monday August 25 through Thursday August 28.
The work consists of the removal of the existing bridge deck joints across the full width and replacement with new concrete and asphaltic plug joints.  The closures are required to complete replacement of bridge joints on the ramp structures.
This location is one of thirteen bridges that are being completed as part of DOT Project No. 0174-0364 that was awarded to Arborio Corporation at a cost of $2,283,130.00 on July 26, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed in November 2014.

Rt.8 SB off ramp Exit 31- Vehicles will be will be directed to follow Rt. 8 SB to exit 30, Washington Ave., then back onto Rt. 8 NB to exit 31 which will bring them back onto I-84 EB.
