Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on Southbound Gold Star Memorial Bridge on I-95

In Groton/New London

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed to the Gold Star Memorial Bridge on I-95 southbound in Groton/New London beginning the evening of Monday, May 5, 2014.

      The wok consists of bridge maintenance which is scheduled to occur from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, through the morning of Friday, June 6, 2014.    

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Traffic control personnel, State troopers, overhead variable message boards, crash attenuator vehicles, and sign patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this nighttime project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Monday – Friday).  No work will be performed on May 23, 26, and 27, 2014, due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend.  This work will also require nighttime lane closures between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
