Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in Madison; Lane Closures Required

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge maintenance projects will be performed on various bridges on I-95, NB and SB in Madison beginning Monday, May 5 and continuing through Friday, June 27, 2014. Work hours will be from 9 pm to 5 am.

      No work will be performed Friday, May 23, 2014 through the morning of Wednesday, May 28, 2014.

  • Madison – Bridge No. 00217 over New Road
  • Madison – Bridge No. 00218 over SSR 450 (Hammonasset Connector)

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 NB and SB between Exit 59 (SR 718, Goose Lane) and Exit 63 (Route 81) in Clinton.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday night through Friday morning).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
