Multiple Nighttime I-84 Ramp Closures in Hartford, April 1 – 4

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the I-84 westbound on ramp from Capitol Avenue will be closed each night starting Tuesday, April 1, to Friday, April 4, 2014, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.  The I-84 eastbound off ramp to Asylum Street (Exit 48A) will also be closed each night on April 1 and April 2, 2014, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

      The ramp closures are necessary for the safe installation of steel beams for the new CTfastrak bridges being constructed adjacent to the ramps.

DETOUR INFO:

      Detour 1: I-84 Westbound On Ramp from Capitol Avenue closed each night from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. starting Tuesday, April 1, to Friday, April 4, 2014.  Traffic detoured onto Broad Street, Farmington Avenue, and Asylum Street, with connection to the I-84 westbound on ramp from Asylum Street.

      Detour 2: I-84 Eastbound Off Ramp to Asylum Street (Exit 48A) will be closed on April 1 and April 2, 2014, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.  Traffic to be diverted to the off ramp to Capitol Avenue (Exit 48B), and then detoured to Capitol Avenue, Broad Street, and Farmington Avenue.
