Milling and Resurfacing Project, SR 533 (Tunnel Road) in Vernon
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.08 mile segment of SR 533 (Tunnel Road) in Vernon.  The milling is scheduled to occur Thursday, May 8, 2014 to Friday, May 9, 2014.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, May 19, 2014 to Friday, May 23, 2014.
Motorists can expect lane closures on SR 533 (Tunnel Road) between Grady Road and Route 30 (Hartford Turnpike) in Vernon. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
