Hamilton Street in Hartford Closed Between Francis Avenue and Bartholomew Avenue, July 14-18

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Hamilton Street in Hartford will be closed between Francis Avenue and Bartholomew Avenue beginning at 7:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014. This will be a full, around-the-clock closure that is expected to last five days. 

      The purpose of this closure is for the replacement of the Amtrak railroad tracks at the crossing with Hamilton Street, in conjunction with the construction of CTfastrak. Vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians will not be permitted.  Please note that trains will continue to actively run during this closure.

      DETOUR INFO: A detour for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians will be clearly posted with signs.  Traffic will be directed to Bartholomew Avenue, Park Street, and Francis Avenue.
