Emergency Utility Work on Route 17 (Hartford Avenue) at Route 66 (Main Street)

 in Middletown

    

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that emergency utility work will be performed on Route 17 (Hartford Avenue) at Route 66 (Main Street) in Middletown on Saturday, November 22, 2014.

The utility project consists of excavating the roadway to expose and replace a leaking water main valve. 

This project is being performed by Middletown Water & Sewer Department.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect a lane closure on Route 17(Hartford Avenue) westbound at Route 66 (Main Street) in Middletown.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is 3:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
