Daytime Blasting Operation to Resume along Interstate 95 in the vicinity of Exit 14 and Exit 15 in Norwalk Beginning on Tuesday, June 10, 2014
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that daytime blasting operations are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 along the shoulders of I-95 in Norwalk between Exit 14 (Route 1 interchange) and Exit 15 (Route 7 interchange).  Traffic stoppages will be occurring between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to remove rock in the area of construction.
The blasting and rock removal operation will be completed approximately three weeks after the work begins, weather permitting.
LANE CLOSURE INFO- Slow-moving roadblocks will be used to facilitate the halting of traffic and motorists can expect significant delays in the area.
During blasting operations, traffic on I-95 in both directions will be halted for 5 to 10 minute intervals two or three times between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Variable message signs will be used to provide advance warnings and to provide information on traffic conditions in the area.
