CL&P unloading timber mats on I-84 in Middlebury for cable pulling operation

                  

    

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing “CL&P” will be unloading timber mats on I-84 to position a crane in the median for cable pulling operation, on Friday, February 7, 2014.  The area involved is I-84 Middlebury, Eastbound, high speed (left lane) between Exits 16 and 17, located just west of the bridges for Route 188. 

 

      The project consists of unloading timber mats to position a crane in the median for cable pulling operation. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists should expect lane closures Eastbound, high speed (left lane) on I-84, Middlebury between Exits 16 & 17, from 09:30 am to 11:30 am. 

Impact Attenuators and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zones. Traffic control signs, variable message sign boards and State police will be used.  CL&P will be supplying all traffic control.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
