CL&P to Install Overhead Line across Route 8 in Watertown

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Connecticut Light & Power will be using a helicopter to install an overhead line across Route 8 in Watertown on Saturday, April 12, 2014 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. (Rain date is Sunday, April 13).

      Motorists can expect short delays for up to five-minutes at a time.  Traffic control will consist of State Troopers, and signing patterns.  Troopers will execute a rolling slow down to insure traffic is not below the work zone.

      Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
