Closure Schedule of East River Drive Ramp for Bridge Joint Repair on Route 15 Southbound over the Connecticut River – the Charter Oak Bridge in East Hartford

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the East River Drive On Ramp is scheduled to be closed between the hours of 4 pm and 7 am from Monday, November 17 through Wednesday, November 19 to work on the approach to Charter Oak Bridge, Route 15 southbound over the Connecticut River. 

      DOT Project No. 0063-0706, was awarded to Rotha Construction of Avon, CT and is being administered by the Office of Construction, District 1 Rocky Hill.  The work is scheduled to be completed in December 2014.

Lane Closure Information

Daytime operations

Tuesday and Wednesday between 11 AM and 2 PM

All other times during the day only shoulder closures allowed

Nighttime operations

Monday and Tuesday - 7 PM to 7 AM following day

Wednesday and Thursday – 8 PM to 7 AM following day

Friday - 9 PM to 9 AM Saturday

Saturday – 8 PM to 11 AM Sunday

Sunday - 9 PM to 7 AM Monday

East River Drive On Ramp Detour

Signs will be in place to detour traffic to I-91 South and Route 5/15 south via the Silver Lane entrance ramp

Special Note- No work will be performed during the Thanksgiving holiday from Wednesday November 26 through 8 pm Monday, December 2, 2014
