Closure and traffic detour on southbound US Rt.1 (East Main Street) and eastbound Ferry Blvd. in Stratford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the closure and detour of traffic on southbound US Rt. 1(East Main Street) and eastbound Ferry Blvd. in Stratford during overnight hours for up to four (4) consecutive nights beginning on Thursday, September 4, 2014.
The closure and traffic detour is necessary for the placement of steel girders on the final stage of construction for the new bridge carrying I-95 over southbound US Rt.1 (East Main Street). Traffic will be detoured through The Dock shopping Plaza back to Rt. 110. 
CLOSURE INFORMATION

Thursday, September 4, 2014, through Saturday, September 6, 2014, for up to four (4) consecutive nights from 9 PM to 6 AM the following day. In the case of inclement weather the operation will occur the next evening.  A revised press release will be issued should operations continue into the following week.

Special Advisory

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour signs and follow the direction of the uniformed police officers. 

DOT Project No. 0138-0221 was awarded to Walsh Construction/PCL JV II of Canton, Mass. on July 8, 2011 with an official start date of August 22, 2011 and an anticipated completion date of August 31, 2016.
