Bridge Repair Project on Route 66 Westbound over Interstate 91 in the Town of Meriden
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work is scheduled to begin Friday, April 11, 2014, on Bridge No. 01837 carrying Route 66 westbound over I-91 in the town of Meriden.
The Project consists of structural steel beam-end repairs, bearing replacement and painting of the repaired areas.
A lane shift will be constructed and temporary barrier be placed in the shoulders at the bridge location to construct a work staging area in both directions of I-91.
LANE CLOSURE INFO-

I-91 both directions: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Long term shoulder closures will be in effect on I-91 at the bridge for the duration of the project.

DOT Contract No. 0171-0359 which involves the repair of 18 bridges was awarded to Odyssey Contracting Corporation of Houston, Pennsylvania on July 21, 2013, at a cost of $3,964,335.00 and is scheduled to be completed in May 2015.
