Bridge Maintenance on Route 165, Broad Brook Overpass, in Preston

    

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge maintenance will be performed on Route 165, Broad Brook overpass, in Preston – 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Traffic control signing pattern and detour will be utilized to guide motorists around the work zone. Motorists traveling west on Route 165 will be directed on Route 201 North, to Route 138 West, to Route 164 South, then joining back up to Route 165.  Motorists traveling East on Route 165 will be directed North on Route 164, then east on Route 138, to Route 201 South, joining back up with Route 165.  Be advised that local motorists and emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass across the bridge during construction. This is Bridge # 2730.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
