Bridge Maintenance on I-395 in Norwich

    

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will continue on I-395 northbound and southbound in Norwich through Friday, January 24, 2014. No work will be performed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 20. 

      The project consists of bridge maintenance at the I-395 Northbound bridge under Wawecus Hill Rd. & the Southbound bridge under Cranberry Pond Rd. in Norwich

      This project is being performed by Mohawk Northeast Inc.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-395 Northbound at Exit 80 (Wawecus Hill Rd.) & Southbound at Exit 81 (Cranberry Pond Rd.) in Norwich.  State police, traffic control personnel, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday)

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
