Bridge Joints Inspection I-95 SB in Stamford and Greenwich; Lane Closures Required

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that inspection work will be performed on the bridge joints on I-95 southbound in Stamford and Greenwich and will require daytime lane closures on Thursday February 20, 2014.

      Inspection work associated with the asphaltic plug joints in the towns of Stamford and Greenwich will require the daytime closures of the left and center lanes on I-95 southbound between Exits 6 and Exit 2. This work is scheduled to be performed on Thursday February 20, 2014. 

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Monday thru Friday).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

      DOT Project No. 0173-04323 was awarded to New England Roads Industries, of Clinton, CT on January 13, 2013 with an official start date of April 1, 2013 and an anticipated completion date of August 31, 2014.
