Pursuant to Section 14-234 of the Connecticut General Statutes, the Office of the State Traffic Administration is authorized to determine portions of any state highway where overtaking and passing or driving to the left of the highway may be appropriate.  Requests to install or remove a passing zone, must come from the Local Traffic Authority of the town.
