What happens if my claim is denied?

Whenever a claim is denied, a written decision is sent to you. This decision will include:

• Reason for the denial.
• Period of ineligibility covered by the denial.
• Information about your appeal rights.
• A notice that you must file your appeal within 21 calendar days of the denial letter being mailed.
