Consumer Protection Releases Implementation Order for Executive Order 7J
Order permits, and outlines rules for methadone delivery for patients who may have COVID-19 symptoms
Sunday, March 22nd, 2020 – The Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) released an implementation order for Governor Lamont’s Executive Order 7J allowing delivery of methadone to patients who are displaying symptoms of COVID-19.
The order outlines protocols for delivery that will ensure:
- The methadone is secure;
- Appropriate records are kept;
- Exposure is limited; and,
- Patients still receive contact with practitioners via phone and approved telehealth processes.
