Consumer Protection Statement on Passage of Senate Bill 706, An Act Concerning Epinephrine Auto Injectors
Saturday, June 1st 2019 – Today, the house voted to pass Senate Bill 706: An Act Concerning Epinephrine Auto Injectors that would allow easier access to trained members of businesses and other institutions to this life saving medication.
“I am pleased that this bill has passed, and will allow thoughtful access to epinephrine,” said Consumer Protection Commissioner Michelle H. Seagull, “At our agency, we are consistently working to ensure that communities have access to the medication they need – but with the critical education and training that comes with that access. I want to thank Senator Matthew Lesser and Representative Robin Comey who have worked in collaboration with our drug control division to make sure that this bill was put together in a way that considers reasonable access, and the safe use of this medication.”
