“We’re very pleased with the results of these compliance checks as they indicate that overall, permittees in these two communities are complying with the Connecticut Liquor Control Act, and in so doing, are helping reduce the sale of alcoholic liquor to minors,” Consumer Protection Commissioner and Liquor Control Commission Chairperson William M. Rubenstein said today. “Our liquor control agents will continue to work with local police to conduct these checks, which are helpful in identifying areas that need further education and enforcement efforts.”

The Commissioner thanked the Windsor Locks and Plainfield police departments for their support of these enforcement efforts.
