Minutes of the Meeting of February 27, 2017

Attendance: Maureen Platt, Chair; Monica Polzella; Candida Fusco; Joy Reho Jim Kenny; Brian Narkewicz; Linda Cimino; Patti Lamonica; Nina Livingston, M.D.; and Audrey Courtney

The meeting was called to order at 2:05 p.m.

The minutes of the December meeting were approved unanimously (Motion: Kenny / Second: Reho).

There was a lengthy discussion  about possible changes to the Technical Guidelines led by Denise Covington, Chairperson of the Standing Subcommittee on Changes to the Technical Guidelines.

A motion passed authorizing that a chart be included in the guidelines to aid health care facilities in handling cases of “Suspected Pediatric Sexual Abuse/Assault.” (Motion: Kenny / Second: Fusco), approved unanimously with the abstention of Linda Cimino.

It was decided that other minor changes in the chart would be discussed and approved at the March meeting including removing the term “SANE-equipped”. (Motion: Daniels / Second: Reho), unanimously approved.

It was decided that the other changes to the Technical Guidelines would be discussed and voted upon at the March meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:28 p.m. (Motion: Reho / Second: Kenny)
