Minutes of the Meeting of September 20, 2010

Statutory Members present were Chair Patricia Froehlich, Maureen Platt, Michael Custer, Marielle Daniels, Candida Fusco, Erica Kesselman, Nancy Kushins, Patti Lamonica, Brian Narkewicz and Michelle Noehren.

Non-Statutory Members present were Linda Cimino, Denise Covington, Anna Doroghazi, Jennifer Milette, Elaine Pagliaro and Joy Reho. 

Membership Update

  • Introduction of Maureen Platt who will replace Patricia Froehlich as Chair of the Commission.

Minutes from the June 21, 2010 meeting were accepted.

Distribution of Technical Guidelines

  • A sub-group of the Commission will work together to draft a letter to accompany the guidelines when they are distributed to the healthcare facilities. This letter will highlight substantive changes made since the last revision.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner/Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SANE/SAFE) Update

  • Linda Cimino and Denise Covington led a discussion regarding the pilot program.

Reimbursement to health care facilities

  • Linda Cimino provided reimbursement data.

The next commission meeting will be on December 20, 2010. This meeting will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney, 300 Corporate Place, Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
