Attorney General Disappointed By Final DPUC Decision On CL&P Rate Increase
June 30, 2010
“The DPUC’s draft decision slashing CL&P’s excessive rate increase was welcome, but I am disappointed that its final ruling failed to cut deeper. My office will carefully review today’s decision and evaluate any further options.
“Consumers and businesses struggling to survive need more relief from the state’s record power rates -- highest in the continental United States. CL&P, like its customers, must make do with less.
“I will continue fighting for reforms reducing Connecticut’s stratospheric electricity costs, which hurt state businesses and consumers.”
